The largest of our Northumberland Cottages at Fenton Hill, Honeysuckle Cottage is perfect for a larger family or family group wanting to book more than one cottage. The large dining room where an extra table can be added has been used for family gatherings such as special birthday celebrations.
This is Northumberland self-catering farm accommodation of a high standard: it has a comfortable lounge with a wood burning stove making it a very warm cottage all year round; perfect for families wanting to get away for a Northumberland Christmas and New Year break.
 
The dining room has dividing doors to partition off an area with a sprung bed settee which has a duck down mattress topper and its own wardrobe;this is ideal for a family wanting grandparents or friends to join them for a night or two. It's also useful if older children don't want to share the upstairs family room. (The bed settee is not part of the advertised sleeping space).
If the bed settee isn't being used this area is a separate sitting area from the lounge with a glass door opening out onto the south facing decking, which is lovely for eating breakfast on warm summer days or for family barbeques while the children run around playing ball games.
This English country cottage with a wonderful scent outside when the honeysuckle is in bloom is a firm favourite with our guests. The fully fitted kitchen with its wonderful north facing views, walk-in airing cupboard perfect to use as a drying room for walking boots and coats after walking in the hills, the bathroom with over-bath shower and seperate small shower room are also down stairs.
Upstairs there are two dormer bedrooms: one double and a large family room with a double and two single beds. The views of the Cheviot Hills and Glendale Valley from the bedrooms are even more stunning than from the downstairs windows. There is also a small wc upstairs.
